Purposes for which Miele will use your personal data

• Miele will collect your personal data, including name, contact details, demographic data, products and services portfolio information, which will only be used for the purpose for which they are provided. Miele may use such data with a view for [processing your purchase orders, performing credit checks, providing after-sale services, conducting customer research and market analysis, managing your account with Miele] and all other purposes ancillary to the above purposes. Miele would also like to use your personal data for direct marketing purposes but can only do so if you consent to this – see (Direct Marketing) below.
• You will be required to provide the personal data specified as mandatory and Miele may not be able to provide you with its products or services if you do not provide the same.  If not specified as mandatory, the provision of data is voluntary.
  Miele may transfer your personal data to the following parties (including inside or outside of Hong Kong):
  (a)   Miele’s parent company, subsidiary or associated companies (“Miele Group”), and authorized business partners such as agencies, suppliers, contractors or service providers appointed by Miele for the   aforesaid purposes under the strict control of Miele;
  (b)   any person to whom Miele is under an obligation to make disclosure under any requirements of any law; and
  (c)   any person with your express consent.
   

Your right to access and correction

• You may at any time request access to and correction of your personal data in Miele’s records.   To exercise any of your rights, you can contact Miele’s customer care service at 2610-1025 to enquire, agree, and request for access to or correction of your personal data.
   

Direct Marketing

Miele would like to use the personal data (i.e. your name, address, mobile phone number and email address) you provided and/or share the personal data with Miele Group for the purpose of sending you promotional information in relation to latest products and services of Miele and Miele Group including home appliances and consumables under our brand “Miele” and related services (including installation and maintenance of the aforesaid products), news about Miele’s and Miele Group’s activities, events, offers, promotions, membership programme and warranty programme through direct mail, email, SMS, phone call and Digital Retargeting Advertising. Miele will only use your personal data in the aforesaid manner if Miele has received your consent.

Your personal data will not be transferred to or sold to any independent third parties for direct marketing purpose or commercial use.

You may opt out of receiving direct marketing communications at any time without charge by following the unsubscribe instructions in the direct marketing communication or by contacting Miele’s customer care service at 2610-1025.
